Job Summary

Assist in reducing accessorial cost by tracking import shipments and tendering import container shipments to carriers timely. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and committed to producing quality work.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Track import shipments on shipping line and terminal websites and update key milestone dates on internal inbound tracking report accordingly.
  • Notify inbound team members when shipments are nearing and/or past the last free day (LFD) and have not been picked up yet. Follow up daily until shipments have been picked up.
  • Tender import containers in our transportation management system (TMS) to the appropriate drayage carrier based on our lane allocation and contract rate sheets.
  • Remind carriers to submit delivered status in TMS after physically delivering containers to the final destination. Check and notify inbound team members when containers have been delivered, but not reflecting delivered in Midea’s internal system.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Basic Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills
