About the Role

The Lucky Group is looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Vice President of Capital Markets to lead the development, deployment, and optimization of capital structures across our residential mortgage and owner-financing platforms.

As the VP of Capital Markets, you will oversee debt and equity strategy, manage institutional relationships, and ensure liquidity and compliance for all loan products. This role is ideal for someone who blends deep financial structuring skills with real-world execution—and wants to help redefine how capital flows through U.S. housing finance.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute the capital markets strategy for both mortgage and creative finance pipelines
  • Oversee warehouse lines, forward purchase agreements, and fund structures (debt/equity)
  • Build and maintain relationships with lenders, broker-dealers, institutional investors, family offices, and private credit funds
  • Lead securitization strategy (RMBS or custom note vehicles) and prepare for public REIT spinout if applicable
  • Own capital allocation modeling across various loan products and credit risk tiers
  • Manage cash flow planning, liquidity forecasting, and hedging strategy across platforms
  • Support investor reporting, LP communications, and audits
  • Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Legal, and Compliance to ensure all originations align with fund strategy and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in structured finance, real estate capital markets, mortgage banking, or private credit
  • Proven success securing and managing warehouse lines, fund facilities, or forward flow agreements
  • Strong grasp of non-QM and conventional mortgage products
  • Excellent modeling, pricing, and credit structuring skills
  • Experience negotiating term sheets, managing investor relations, and leading closings
  • Clear communicator with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration ability
  • Ideally based in Austin, TX
Bonus Points For
  • Prior experience in securitization or REIT formation
  • Relationships with institutional LPs, wholesale investors, or fintech-focused funds
  • Exposure to GSE channels, nonbank lending, or fintech lending infrastructure
  • Experience scaling capital ops for a high-growth company
  • CAIA or CFA
Why Join Us
  • Join a fast-scaling company at the intersection of PropTech, FinTech, and Impact
  • Influence both sides of the market: prime and underserved
  • Executive-level visibility and influence
  • Competitive salary
  • Stock options or equity potential
  • Mission-driven team culture with modern tools, clear KPIs, and high autonomy
