Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to support compound management operations within a dynamic research and development environment. This hands-on role involves managing the daily handling of chemical compounds, including receiving, registering, weighing, solubilizing, and fulfilling requests for aliquots, plates, and shipments. The position requires close collaboration with lab automation systems, liquid handling platforms, and sample management software to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and traceability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, weigh, and solubilize chemical compounds with precision.
  • Prepare barcoded dose-response and compound plates using automated workflows and advanced liquid handling instruments such as acoustic dispensers.
  • Develop and refine workflows; provide troubleshooting support for automation platforms and lab instrumentation.
  • Maintain accurate compound inventory using sample management software.
  • Uphold quality standards by adhering to SOPs and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill compound requests efficiently.
  • Support chemistry operations by registering reagents and maintaining organized inventory.
  • Coordinate domestic and international compound shipments in compliance with regulations.
  • Contribute to general lab support and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related engineering discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in an industrial lab setting, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling, weighing, and solubilizing compounds, with a strong understanding of chemical safety practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard software tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sample management platforms such as Titian Mosaic or CDD Vault.
  • Familiarity with high-throughput liquid handling systems and robotics (e.g., acoustic dispensers, robotic arms, automated pipetting platforms).
  • Background in developing and optimizing automated workflows for compound management.
  • Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
