Job Description

We are looking for attentive and detail-oriented drivers to join a team as Autonomous Vehicle Safety Drivers for both AM and PM shifts.

In this role, you will support the development of autonomous vehicle technology by ensuring the highest safety standards during on-road testing.

This position is ideal for experienced drivers who are passionate about innovation and can respond quickly and safely in challenging driving conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate autonomous vehicles to gather data on system performance and environmental conditions.
• Work closely with passengers, engineers, and operations staff, providing feedback and insights.
• Monitor vehicle performance during testing to ensure safety and proper function.
• Prepare vehicles daily, including conducting safety checks and verifying system readiness.
• Document detailed reports to help improve systems and operations.
• Maintain full attention and awareness of other road users and unexpected events.

Requirements:

• Experience in roles requiring high driving skill and safety commitment, such as autonomous vehicle operation, driving instruction, or motorsports.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• Clean driving record with no recent DUIs or drug/alcohol offenses (within 5 years).
• Ability to anticipate and safely react to hazards, including those caused by other drivers or adverse conditions.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and comfort with diverse road types.
• High level of responsibility and ownership of safety.

AM Shift (6AM-2:30PM) -$20 - $25 hourly

PM Shift (3:00pm to 12:00am) - $24 - $28 hourly
