Job Description

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant on a Direct Hire basis. This role can be worked on a hybrid capacity, based out of Denver, CO.

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial operations related to international markets and funding sources. This role is responsible for managing billing and reconciliation processes, supporting regulatory compliance, and facilitating month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, experience with international financial operations, and the ability to coordinate effectively across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review international Cash Needs Reports, vouchers, and related journal entries on a recurring basis.
• Oversee accounts receivable billing, reconciliation, and aging reports; ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items.
• Prepare monthly financial account reconciliations and accruals; post related general ledger entries.
• Serve as the primary liaison for assigned funding sources, coordinating budgets, billing, and audit preparation.
• Develop and manage Dues Revenue amortization schedules and monthly revenue recognition entries.
• Collaborate with international teams to produce month-end close reports and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
• Review international balance sheet reconciliations and support international staff with regulatory and budget-related issues.
• Participate in compliance audits, year-end financial audits, and preparation of membership and sponsorship invoices.
• Cross-train with accounting team members to support department functions; periodic travel may be required.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting, with international accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in internal audits, compliance reviews, or public accounting is desired.
• Familiarity with commercial electronic banking processes and general ledger systems; experience with MS Dynamics GP is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and work in a culturally aware environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Bilingual skills and prior international financial experience are helpful but not required.

Salary range: $90,000-$100,000

H1 sponsorship is not available.
