Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, products, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices that align with our business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to maintain seamless supply chain operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct or review cost analysis by assessing material, labor, and overhead costs incurred in the production and finished products.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to for profitable and favorable terms and costs
  • Develop relationships and needs with suppliers and implement purchasing and contract(NDA,MPA) management instructions.
  • Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the organization of identifying efficiency issues, develop solutions, and implement changes.
  • Drive operational readiness of suppliers, including purchase order readiness, planning long-term forecast, capacity plans, and clear to build.
  • Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues and maintain strong relationships.
  • Administer payment flows and maintain accurate records using systems and data sheets.
  • Analyze vendor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and operational processes.
  • Execute risk management and crisis protocols to address potential vendor and purchasing issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills. 
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the U.S. as required to visit suppliers. 20-30% is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in purchasing management.
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
  • Has experience working on the supplier side, and has expertise in product development for custom product

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $110,000

Plus bonus and stock options
