The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a cellular therapy laboratory setting; or a minimum of four (4) years of experience in clinical hematology or blood bank setting preferred. Bone marrow and/or stem cell processing, blood banking, hematology, cell culture and apheresis preferred. Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation preferred. Strong organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities. Consistent ability to function under time constraints while multi-tasking in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work closely with others and clearly communicate transitions in work processes. Exceptional mathematical skill, analytical skill, and technical dexterity. Ability to function in a cleanroom environment and sustain prolonged physical exertion. Certification from AMT or ASCP in Medical Technology, Med Lab Science or a related specialty, preferred.
