Description Position Summary We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation: Starting compensation range is $21.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Responsibilities - Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
- Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
- Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
- Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
- Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
- Providing patient education and answering patient questions
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
- Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
- Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
