BHE GT&S JOB DESCRIPTION BHE GT&S has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a rising Sophomore majoring in Environmental Studies, Biology, Environmental Engineering with the Environmental Team at our Western Area HQ located in Delmont, PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide field environmental compliance support for Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage facilities.
- Support multi-media environmental compliance field programs.
- Support environmental self-assessments, environmental orientations and training at Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage facilities to foster and improve environmental compliance.
- Walkdown sites to ensure stormwater compliance and provide waste sampling support.
- Support environmental regulatory inspections.
- Update Gas Transmission and Storage environmental website with refreshed content.
*Successful candidates who are 50 miles or more from the assigned work location may be eligible for a one-time housing stipend. *Your summer internship will be a minimum of 8 weeks on site (June 1 - July 24). Please note: the internship could be extended for up to 11 weeks considering your summer schedule and the needs of the business. QUALIFICATIONS Qualified candidates should be a rising Sophomore majoring in Environmental Studies, Biology, Environmental Engineering .
Must be :

- Self-directed
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient in computer skills
- Ability to plan and organize work
- Possess analytical skills
Education Requirements Must be a full-time student attending a 4-year university majoring in Environmental Studies, Biology, Environmental Engineering.
Candidate must be at least a rising Sophomore by summer 2026.
Candidates must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
