Akkodis is seeking an Extrusions Manager (Aluminum) for a Direct Hire job with a client in the Greater Philadelphia area. The Extrusions Manager oversees the operations of the Extrusions and Die Department, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards in quality, safety, cost-efficiency, and cleanliness. This role involves leading and developing team members, optimizing processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $135,000 to $155,000; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Extrusions Manager job responsibilities include:

• Lead, coach, and discipline team members in line with company policies.
• Ensure all machinery is safe and functioning efficiently.
• Manage all activities related to extrusion and die operations to ensure timely execution.
• Enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency in extrusion processes by developing and implementing best-practice "recipes" using Optalex.
• Collaborate with the die shop during the design phase to ensure new dies are production-ready on the first run.
• Uphold and enforce ISO 9001 standards within the Extrusions Department.
• Define criteria for when specific dies require standardized recipes.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations.
• Drive process enhancements to boost press performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Evaluate die and shape designs for opportunities to increase productivity.
• Monitor and improve quality metrics; lead continuous improvement efforts.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, delegation, conflict resolution, motivation, and team leadership.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Five years of experience in extrusion operations.
• Background in continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
