Job Description

Neptune Nursery in Palm City, Florida is looking to hire a driver with a CDL A License who will be in charge of picking up products for the nursery (e.g., rocks, mulch, sod, plants, palms, etc.) as well as helping with local deliveries.

• Driven, positive attitude, team player, self-starter, and career-oriented workers.
• Able to haul sod pallets, mulch, palms, plants, rocks, sand, soil, and etc.
• Able to operate semi-trucks, tractor trailers, dump trucks, and flatbeds.
• Able to listen, have open and effective communication with office and customers.
• Able to use a cell phone, text messaging and GPS.
• Collecting and loading stock in a manner that prevents breakage.
• Ensuring that the trucks have sufficient fuel at all times, and they are safe to operate as well reporting any issues they may raise.
• Informing office of potential delays.
• Delivering stock to clients on or before each deadline.
• Able to drive/use a piggyback machine.

Requirement:

• 5+ experience and has experience hauling sod (not required but preferred).
• Driver/Chofer with CDL A at a Nursery.
• Able to drive or quickly learn how to use a forklift and piggyback.
• Comfortable using GPS equipment.
• Ensuring that you are always fit to maneuver the truck.
• Compliance with all road and transport rules.

Job Type: Fulltime.
Salary: $18.00-$20.00/weekly. Pay will depend on experience.
