Job Description

LHH is seeking a Warehouse Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a distribution client located near Merrillville, Indiana. In this role, you will join a well-established team and will be given the opportunity to lead a warehousing operation which distributes products across the US. You will direct inbound and outbound efforts, manage inventory control, and direct warehousing operations for a 30-member team. The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $80,000-87,000 per year and includes a comprehensive benefit package, Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, plan, and oversee inbound, outbound, and warehousing operations
• Coordinate all operational activities required for timely and efficient distribution of products to domestic and global customers
• Responsible for the storage, inventory management, and distribution of finished goods
• Maintain accurate inventory transaction records by completing daily cycle counts and performing root cause analysis to identify and prevent future non-conformance issues
• Lead assembly and kitting operations for select customers and product lines
• Ensures shipping documentation is in order and meets compliance standards
• Ensure maximum return on investment through effective operational performance and the successful completion of assigned projects
• Administer performance management program
• Evaluate and recommend training resources to support employee development
• Follow corporate policies to meet both short and long term goals regarding safety, performance, and compliance
• Maintain adherence to health and safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of operations supervision experience within a warehousing and/or distribution environment is required
• Must have experience working with an ERP and/or WMS system (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics AX, Oracle, Manhattan, Red Prairie, etc.)
• Must have experience resolving/preventing safety-related issues and reportables in a warehousing and/or manufacturing setting
• Must possess the ability to maintain high level of detail and integrity while executing responsibilities
• Must have experience in partnering with colleagues in all levels of an organization to drive priorities
