Job Title: VMWare Engineer/System Engineer ( BACJP00215483)
Location: Richmond, VA/ CHARLOTTE, NC/Chandler, AZ(Hybrid-3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 12 Month contract with Possible extension
W2 without benefits (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
True infrastructure experience with ESXihost/Vcenter
Managing/upgrading and moving clusters around. Doesn't want to see anyone with just Windows or Linux exp. Familiarity with Troubleshooting/Firewalls.
Description:
vSphere Systems Engineer responsible for scheduling, coordinating, implementing and troubleshooting VM migrations in a large scale production VMware based cloud service on HP and Dell server hardware. Requires weekend and evening work.
Minimum 8 years' experience supporting and troubleshooting issues for VMware vSphere 7.x and 8.x beyond VM support.
Strong network infrastructure knowledge and troubleshooting ability
Experience supporting vSAN storage
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Experience in executing technical strategy
Ability to work in a high pressure environment where time to deliver is of paramount importance
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience in planning and implementing large technical projects
Ability to follow, define, document and implement technical procedures
Dell and HP server hardware support and troubleshooting experience
Experience in working on agile scrum projects
Strong understanding and experience with security and authentication of VMware and hardware interfaces
Strong understanding and ability to work in an ITIL Framework
Experience in communication with and working on global teams within a large organization
Experience supporting HCX
