**Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a Local Class A CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver to join the team in Longview, Washington!** **This is a local long-haul trucking position, pulling a 53-foot trailer with garbage and other live loads, from the Transfer station and Mills up to Headquarters Landfill for disposal.** The schedule will be Monday - Friday 5:00am to 4:30pm with Overtime often. Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate.** **Ability to Operate and maneuver Tractor trailer hauling a 53' Foot Trailer.** **Ability to read route sheets or Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.** **Perform Daily Pre-trip and Post-Trip inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.** **Minimum 1+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.** **Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws** **Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.** **Ability to work a physically demanding job.** **Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test** **Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments** **Clean driving record.** **Working Conditions and Physical Effort:** **Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.** **Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.** **The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
