Job Description

This position will Maintain the building floors and hallways; windows, ceilings, and walls; clean and maintain supplies in restrooms; perform grounds maintenance; clean assigned state-maintained sidewalks and parking lots; operate, maintain and make minor repairs on building and mechanical equipment. This temporary position is an onsite position located at Willmar MnDOT. The duration of the temporary appointment is approximately 5 months (mid-May 2025 - mid-October 2025). Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

• Different types of flooring and floor coverings sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and cleaning
• Chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, anti-bacterial, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle, apply and dispose of safely
• Methods, hand and power tools and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairs
• Painting products and the processes of applying.
• Class D Driver’s License
