Introduction:

We are a Privately-Owned Solar Engineering Services firm, focusing exclusively on the development of industry-leading solutions. We develop, design, and sell new products that are highly efficient and include customized installation solutions. About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager to oversee and support the daily functions of our Engineering, Technical Support, Procurement, Logistics, and Project Coordination teams. This individual will serve as a critical link between these departments and leadership, driving process optimization, technical oversight, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the Engineering, Technical Support, Procurement, Logistics, and Project Coordination teams.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, accountability, and performance tracking.
  • Establish KPIs and goals to support individual growth and team success.
  • Facilitate problem resolution and implement corrective actions.

2. Process Optimization

  • Develop and refine scalable processes for project delivery and execution.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Oversee quality control processes, standards, and documentation.

3. Technical Oversight

  • Review and validate customer proposals for accuracy and optimal solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with UL certifications and required testing protocols.
  • Strengthen the technical expertise and skill set of the team through training and support.

4. Customer Relations

  • Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Build trust-based relationships with client design teams and supply partners.

5. Business Development Support

  • Partner with sales teams to provide technical guidance and support.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
  • Promote and uphold the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in renewable energy solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Business or Technical degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience in operations, technical management, or related leadership roles.
  • Strong background in engineering, preconstruction, or technical support.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, both internal (team/leadership) and external (clients/partners).
  • Experience in renewable energy, solar, or related industries is a plus.
