Job Description

MP Engineers + Architect are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and strong background in commercial design projects . This role will lead mechanical engineering design, project management, and client coordination for a range of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial buildings.
• Oversee multiple projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and construction specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and provide technical guidance during construction.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and designers.
• Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings and preparing proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Active PE license in Massachusetts required.
• Minimum 8–12 years of mechanical engineering experience with a focus on commercial building design.
• Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems design.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Excellent project management, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
