Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Software Engineering Intern\. In this role, you will be tasked with challenging and engaging software engineering tasks dealing with analysis, design, and implementation\. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of object\-oriented programming, integrated software systems, and Agile software development methodology\. Must be a US Citizen\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. **Basic Qualifications:** \-Pursuing Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited university in a related field \(Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc\) \-Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices \-Familiarity with CAD software, other engineering tools or programming languages \(C\+\+, Python, Java\) \-Experience with simulation tools and technologies, modeling and simulation software \(ex\. Simulink, MATLAB, etc\) **Desired Skills:** \-Familiarity with Agile processes \-Familiarity with virtual and augmented reality \(VR/AR\) technologies and their integration with simulation tools \-Familiarity with game engines, specifically Unreal Engine \-Strong academic performance \-Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with the capacity to work on interdisciplinary project **Clearance Level:** None **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\. **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\. **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week **Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer\.
