AIG's Information Technology functions include application development and management, enterprise architecture, and technology risk and compliance. About the role What you need to know: Create a clear vision and strategy for the team to move to an increasingly proactive and preventive role meeting the rapidly changing demands of the business and evolving technology Proactively participate in the management of the Information Technology department Work with senior management to set the overall department direction Make recommendations for improvements in the delivery of services Initial discussions on ideas or issues which span over various units Take on special projects to implement change to provide a unified consistent approach Maintain professional and technical knowledge Analyses current process for compliance requirements and efficiency Make recommendations on new technologies, processes and/or procedures Determine how new technologies would be incorporated into the existing structure and what information needs they would address to maintain a highly available environment. Lead Agile team members in the process and delivery aspects of their role Providing timely estimates Delivering on sprint commitments Assisting in removing roadblocks Ensure data validity for accurate sprint planning and project forecasting Engage in Agile ceremonies Act with integrity and lead by example each and every day. Demonstrate ethical behaviors and practices, risk management and compliance to AIG policies Maintain a quality, highly motivated Quality Assurance team Encourage professional growth and help identify growth opportunities for staff Responsible for employee development through goal setting, timely reviews, coaching and training Interview, hire, train, discipline and discharge staff as required Schedule staff to support the 24x7 operations of the company working closely with the offshore team members Promote and maintain professionalism in working environment What we're looking for: Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience in Application Deploy and Release. Education - Two year degree in CIS/Computer Science or 5 years Travel Guard or Quality Assurance experience. Supervisory Experience - At least 5 years' experience (or equivalent management training) in any of the following: Project Manager, Technical Lead, Team Lead or IT Management. Ability to apply systems thinking to generate solutions, focus on process rather than the specific event to identify root cause and evaluate alternative solutions/process improvements Ability to perform in a fast-paced agile environment Ability to lead global cross functional teams in a 24x7x365 model Presentation skills with the ability to present to multiple levels of leadership and technical knowledge.
