Your Role:

As a Seasonal Docent – Holiday , you will serve as a warm and knowledgeable guide throughout Bergdorf Goodman during the festive season, ensuring every client enjoys an elevated and engaging shopping experience. You will share the store’s rich heritage, highlight our curated luxury offerings, and act as an approachable resource for guests navigating the store.

You will be a storyteller—bringing the Bergdorf Goodman experience to life through brand history, product insights, and personalized service—while supporting store events and ensuring visitors feel welcomed and informed. This is a full-time, seasonal role running from September/October through late December/early January, depending on business needs. This role is not commission-eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming and engaging environment by greeting and assisting clients with warmth and professionalism.
• Share the Bergdorf Goodman story, heritage, and brand values to enrich the shopping experience.
• Provide knowledgeable guidance on store layout, product categories, and key designers.
• Support guests by answering questions, offering product insights, and directing them to appropriate departments or sales professionals.
• Engage customers with meaningful interactions that reflect the luxury and imagination of the BG experience.
• Assist with in-store events, seasonal promotions, and special activations.
• Maintain awareness of store events, services, and promotions to proactively share with guests.
• Ensure an elevated atmosphere by monitoring presentation standards and reporting any maintenance or merchandise needs.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to provide seamless client care.
• Adapt quickly to the dynamic pace of the holiday season and changing business priorities.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to create engaging and informative client interactions.
• Understanding of luxury retail and client expectations.
• Highly organized, attentive to detail, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work full-time schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This role is not benefit eligible.
