Job Description

Summary of Position:

The Sanitation Supervisor oversees sanitation personnel and supports the Sanitation Manager with additional responsibilities as needed.

Hours: 10:00PM - 6:30AM

Functions of the Position:

• Supervises sanitation workers across all shifts.
• Recruits, trains, manages daily workload, conducts performance reviews, and sets goals for staff.
• Oversees all sanitation operations and activities.
• Trains new sanitation employees on SSOPs, chemical usage, and safety procedures.
• Monitors staffing levels to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Coordinates major cleanup projects with production supervisors.
• Maintains records of chemical usage and cleaning activities.
• Manages inventory and storage of sanitation supplies.
• Oversees detailed cleaning tasks according to production and master sanitation schedules.
• Prepares for and leads sanitation audits.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in sanitation within a food production environment required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and food handling practices preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient with computers and basic software applications.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions accurately.
• Ability to read and write in English required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
