About this Role:
We are recruiting for a Research Scientist III (Epidemiology/Biostatistics) or (Social/Behavioral Sciences).This position is part of the Data Analytics Division (DAD) in the Enterprise Data and Information Management (EDIM), specifically under the Data Fulfillment Branch (DFB) in the Confidential Data Request Unit (CDRU). The Research Scientist III (Epidemiology/Biostatistics) (RS III) works to provide data systems and analytic, epidemiology, and research expertise for CDRU and all the Medi-Cal programs the unit supports. The position serves as a department epidemiology lead for evaluating complex, large-scale, research and data quality projects related to confidential data file development, data linkage and management, and the development of measure specification standards.
Training and Development (T&D) assignments may be considered for this position for current California civil service employees. T&D assignments cannot exceed 24 months. However, successful T&D candidates may transition to a permanent appointment, if eligible at the end of the T&D assignment. Have questions and/or need assistance? Currently, the DHCS standard for hybrid work is a minimum of two days per week in-person and site-based and up to three teleworking days per week in accordance with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code 14200-14203.
