Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company is hiring a Research Associate for a 7+ months contracting assignment.

Must have skills:

• 2 years+ experience handling laboratory animals, including mice
• At least 2 years of experience in animal care/husbandry, including proficiency in the monitoring and care of mouse models of disease (i.e. cancer or autoimmunity models)
• At least 1.5 years of prior hands-on in vivo mouse work experience required
• Ability to measure mouse tumors, compliance with all procedures and protocols associated with animal work, ability to work as part of a team, mouse blood and tissue collection
• Experience in mouse dosing techniques, including oral gavage, and intraperitoneal and subcutaneous injection
• Experience with mouse blood and tissue collection and processing
• Excellent record-keeping skills and experience with data entry and data management
• Weekend and/or Holiday work may be required on occasion, as determined by experimental schedules

Pay: $32-33/hour W2

Location: Seattle WA

Responsibilities:

• Applies scientific and / or technical skills
• Use established procedures and methodologies
• Works predominantly within established procedures
• Assist with mouse tumor biology models by performing health checks, tumor measurements, dosing, sample collection, and data entry
• Ability to work in a fast-moving team environment
• Experience with cell culture techniques
