Job Description

We’ve been engaged by a leading law firm to identify an experienced Real Estate Paralegal for its New York office. This is a substantive, high-visibility role supporting a nationally recognized real estate practice on complex commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of title commitments and ALTA/NSPS surveys
• Draft and negotiate title-related documents: objection letters, estoppels, subordination agreements, conveyance documents, etc.
• Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, zoning consultants, and other third-party providers
• Assist in all phases of transactional work, from diligence through closing and post-closing
• Advise attorneys and clients on title, survey, and zoning standards
• Prepare lease drafts and amendments
• Maintain organized closing binders and manage follow-up documentation
• Participate in mentoring junior team members and ongoing legal team development

Position Details:

• Location: New York City
• Schedule: Hybrid – 60% in-office, 40% remote
• Role Type: Full-time, permanent

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 6+ years of real estate paralegal experience at a law firm
• Deep experience in commercial title, survey, and zoning diligence
• Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills
• Confident managing deadlines and working independently or as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Tech savvy, especially with Microsoft Office; quick to learn new platforms
• Professional, proactive, and client-focused mindset
