Project Manager — Construction

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (must live locally)

Employment: Full-Time | Exempt

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of large-scale construction projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate across stakeholders from pre-construction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple large-scale commercial and industrial projects from start to finish.
• Prepare estimates, establish budgets, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Implement procedures to ensure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.
• Work closely with Superintendents to develop and enforce project safety plans.
• Maintain project schedules, cost controls, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain strong relationships.
• Lead regular project meetings and provide accurate reporting to management.
• Direct pre-construction activities, including subcontractor bid packages and procurement.
• Document significant project events, including delays, change orders, or incidents.
• Oversee all project closeout procedures to ensure timely completion.

Job Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of field construction management experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, contract administration, and project accounting.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Yardi) and general computer skills.
• Experience with structural, civil, and MEPF systems coordination.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency.
