Job Description

The Permitting Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and tracking telecom permit applications and coordinating related activities to ensure timely project execution. This role works closely with engineering, construction, and municipal agencies to facilitate the permitting process for telecom infrastructure projects including fiber optic and wireless deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track the submission, approval, and renewal of telecom permits (ROW, pole attachments, traffic control, etc.).
  • Review permit packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with municipal and utility requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact between project teams and permitting authorities (cities, counties, DOTs, utilities).
  • Maintain accurate records of all permits, approvals, and conditions using internal databases and trackers.
  • Monitor permitting timelines and escalate delays that may impact project schedules.
  • Work with engineering and construction teams to resolve permit-related issues or design changes.
  • Support project managers with documentation, reports, and status updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on jurisdictional requirements, process changes, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in telecom permitting, OSP project coordination, or construction administration.
  • Familiarity with permitting requirements for local municipalities, DOTs, and utility companies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
