  • Academic Support
  • Support students in academic recovery efforts, including hosting after-school study halls and coordinating credit recovery plans.
  • Partner with the MLE Coordinator, ISA Team, teachers, and paraeducators to support language learners in the classroom and ensure language access through best practices in sheltering instruction.
  • Coordinate with the ESS Department to ensure individualized paths to success for students.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Engage families through regular phone calls, in-person meetings, home visits, and event participation.
  • Serve as a bridge between home and school by ensuring families are informed, supported, and connected to school and community resources.
  • Lead or co-lead Family Nights, New Student Orientation, Community Meetings, Honor Roll Celebrations, Service Learning, and support schoolwide communication and outreach efforts.

Culture & Restorative Practices

  • Promote a positive school culture by modeling professionalism, care, and consistency in all student interactions.
  • Lead and support restorative justice practices to build community and respond to conflict in productive, student-centered ways.
  • Uphold high expectations while supporting students with dignity, empathy, and accountability.

Transitions & Enrollment Support

  • Collaborate with DPS and district transition officers to support student entry and re-entry, particularly for students returning from out-of-school placements.
  • Support the enrollment and onboarding of new students, ensuring smooth transitions into the CHSC community.

  • Assist with setting up, serving, and closing up breakfast and lunch service for students.
  • Monitor halls and campus during designated supervision shifts to ensure student safety.
  • Serve as a proctor for testing throughout the school year, including P/SAT, MAP, and ACCESS assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned by the School Leadership Team

Required Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and student-centered support
