Mechanical Design Engineer

We’re hiring for a Mechanical Design Engineer that will help with the development and refinement of large-scale mechanical components and systems.

Must qualify for a Secret Clearance

Design Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop large-scale mechanical components using 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor)
• Produce and revise detailed 2D drawings based on input from the manufacturing floor
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to validate designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and performance
• Support Utility, Industrial, and Renewables divisions, with particular focus on legacy mining equipment
• Contribute to the design and development of modular substations and emergency mobile substation systems

Design Engineer Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and structural analysis
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and 3D CAD modeling
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and mechanical system design
• Understanding of snow and wind load structural analysis
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, especially on the manufacturing floor
