Summary: 

As the Meat Cutter, you are responsible for properly cutting various kinds of meat for food service and retail sales and ensuring maximum use of product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Properly grade product and assign to accounts.
  • Sanitize work area and equipment before and after cutting.
  • Survey all equipment to assure proper working order.
  • Handle product properly to ensure maximum shelf life.
  • Properly store excess product.
  • Finish all orders in a timely manner.
  • Inform supervisor of any changes or problems.
  • Follow USDA/HACCP guidelines.
  • Clean-up work station and department.
  • Communicate quality issues to supervisors and merchandising.
  • Weigh and tag product for order.
  • Help pack meat orders.
  • Able to fill out and complete USDA/HACCO forms daily.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

  • Able to portion control cutting with pork, lamb, beef and poultry
