Job Description

Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a growing manufacturer to find a Material Handler for their 2nd (2-10p p.m.) and 3rd shift (10-6 p.m.).

Job Title: Material Handler

Reports To: Materials Supervisor

Backup: Other Material Handlers, Lead Material Handler, Supervisor

Summary: The Material Handler loads, unloads, inventories, and moves materials within or near the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks
• Perform inventory transfers using RF (Radio Frequency) equipment
• Pull shipments and prepare for delivery
• Move materials as needed throughout the plant
• No prior experience with company-specific equipment required

• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem-solving situations.
• Interpersonal Skills: Remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things.

Other Responsibilities

• Employees in supervisory, managerial, director, executive, or quality positions are required to report and act on all food safety and quality concerns reported by plant personnel.
