Job Purpose (Role)

Responsible for developing and leading the execution of marketing and communications (MarCom) strategies and tasks that position AAMI to advance its mission plus enabling/enhancing achievement of its registration, revenue, engagement, and awareness goals. Collaboratively supports our Association overall, including but not limited to the Staff, the Board of Directors, and AAMI’s Foundation.

Essential Duties (Responsibilities)

  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns for AAMI’s offerings, including standards, training, webinars, events, and other resources.
  • Serve as project manager for marketing team deliverables, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage the integrated marketing and communications calendar, coordinating internal requests and campaign timelines.
  • Manage Google Ad strategy to maximize AAMI’s online presence, drive high-quality website traffic, and effectively convert visitors into customers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce high-quality marketing collateral that supports AAMI’s brand and mission.
  • Utilize Google Tag Manager to track and connect marketing and communications campaign activities.
  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of all email marketing efforts, including targeted campaigns, drip sequences, and lead data management.
  • Monitor and optimize marketing campaigns to improve conversion rates and ROI.
  • Support go-to-market strategy and messaging for new products and services in collaboration with product owners and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Collaborate with web and IT teams to evolve AAMI’s website as a key marketing channel, optimizing for user experience, SEO, and conversion rate.
  • Collaborate with the MarCom team to develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to grow and engage audiences.
  • Track and report on KPIs across marketing, web, and social platforms; prepare reports for internal stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain and enforce AAMI’s brand guidelines across all internal and external communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of marketing and communications.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in communications or marketing.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in marketing and communications with experience in content marketing.
  • Strong project management skills with experience using tools like Asana, Trello, or similar.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, including Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and email marketing tools.
  • Demonstrated success in social media management and content strategy.
  • Email marketing experience: copywriting, visual design, microtargeting, A/B testing, and dynamic content.
  • Experienced with marketing automation and lead generation tools (Salesforce / Pardot a plus).
  • Paid social experience: LinkedIn, Google Ad Manager, dynamic experience content, targeting best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, communication, relationship development, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing platform, social management, and paid social experience required.
  • A team player who works collaboratively with a focus on exceptional customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment of competing priorities.
  • Excellent work ethic, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and able to switch and change priorities as needed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Associations in the medical device industry.
  • Experience with scientific, healthcare, or healthcare technology sectors.
  • Experience applying AI to MarCom tasks and challenges is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an in-office, virtual, and hybrid environment.
  • Flexible hours: day and some evening hours required to support special initiatives.
  • Travel 1 to 2 times per year, but may vary, usually within the US.
  • Hybrid work schedule, minimum of two days a week in Arlington, VA, office. Flexibility is required to increase the number of days in the office based on mission/business needs.
