Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work on a 12 month (could be extended) project at our client site in Salt Lake City, UT. This position is W2 hourly with Roth Staffing (Ledgent is a division of Roth) and no 3rd party candidates will be considered.

Pay Rate Range: $26.66/hr - $40.00/hr

Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite Only

Experience Level: 2+ Years

Industry: Medical Devices (Experience not required)

About the Role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team of six engineers. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment and is passionate about process improvement and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document and enhance manufacturing processes to ensure safety and efficacy of finished devices.
  • Conduct qualification, verification, and validation activities for medical device production.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Support new product development and product support through engineering activities such as:
    • Technology development
    • Process studies and improvements
    • Six Sigma initiatives
    • Specification and report preparation
  • Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
  • Develop manufacturing equipment in compliance with OSHA & EPA standards.
  • Participate in risk analysis (FMEA) and design reviews.
  • Interface with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve floor issues.
  • Coordinate and document project work, including engineering tests and experiments.
  • Attend and contribute to production core team meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience sourcing components and assessing supplier capabilities.
  • Ability to train and provide direction to operators and technicians.
  • Participation in cross-functional teams and production goal setting.
  • Experience with process/product improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with external process technologies and supplier coordination.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (any discipline).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read, understand, and create engineering drawings using common software.
  • Strong analytical skills including statistical, geometric, and mathematical calculations.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
