Overnight-Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technician – Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Electrical Systems (Industrial Equipment)
Shifts Available: C-Shift – (Friday and Saturday from 5:30AM to 5:30PM) then (Sunday and Monday from 5:30PM to 5:30AM) – 4-12 hour Shifts each week OR B-Shift, Tuesday to Friday from 5PM to 5AM – 4-12 hour shifts
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems in an industrial setting. This role will require the technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of industrial equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
· Hydraulic System Maintenance:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and related components.
Perform fluid level checks, filter replacements, and pressure tests to ensure proper functioning.
Monitor hydraulic systems for leaks, malfunctions, and wear, and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
· Pneumatic System Maintenance:
Inspect and repair pneumatic systems, including compressors, air dryers, actuators, and valves.
Troubleshoot and replace defective pneumatic components to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct air system audits to verify pressure levels and system performance and perform leak detection.
· Electrical System Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controllers, wiring, and circuit boards.
Perform electrical inspections and testing of equipment for compliance with safety standards.
Work with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve issues.
· Preventive Maintenance:
Follow a structured preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment.
Perform routine checks on equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they lead to failures.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and part replacements.
· Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system malfunctions, and carry out necessary repairs.
Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely repairs to minimize production disruptions.
· Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental laws.
Perform lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance and repair work to prevent accidents.
· Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and inventories of parts and tools.
Provide detailed feedback on equipment conditions and repair needs to management.
Assist in the planning and execution of equipment upgrades and modifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
Experience in Maintenance, with hands-on expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and troubleshooting control systems is a plus.
· Skills:
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and industrial equipment repair.
Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance tools for industrial systems.
· Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
Comfortable with climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
