Job Description

Position Summary

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. This position reports to the Maintenance and Facility Manager. Comply with the safety measures to avoid occupational injuries or illnesses, and within its area of ​competence, control and reduce the environmental impacts derived from its activities.E

  1. lant maintenance to install, maintain and repair complex electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems such large molding press, robots, assembly fixtures, drill fixtures, paint/finish, equipment, conveyors, and general plant facility type of equipment.I
  2. nstalls electronic-automation type equipment and control systems.T
  3. rouble shoots, repairs, and maintains electronic controls, hydraulic system, pneumatic systems, controls, and mechanical equipment. M
  4. akes operating decisions in meeting the department’s objectives.C
  5. onducts P.M. programs.P
  6. articipates in training programs.P
  7. articipate, comply, and support the environmental, health and safety system requirements.O

  • omputer Skills- Competence in personal computer Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, e-mail) and familiar with other database related software.

xperienceU

tilize hand-held tools/machinery/instruments, both manual and powered, precision and non-precision. Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, painting, greasing, oiling, grinding, drilling, disassemble and reassemble simple machine parts. Weld and cut with gas torches, troubleshoot machine controls, use standard machine tools such as lathes, saws, mills, and drill presses. Ability to follow maintenance procedures and maintain proper documentation, drawings, and files. Knowledgeable in hydraulic, and pneumatic controls, materials, and components. Operate, set, and regulate/adjust machinery. Trouble shoot machine controls, disassemble, and assemble machine parts. Ability to install conduit, pipe, regulators, and hoses.E

ducationH

igh school diploma or GED preferred, one to three years of related formal training, and/or one to three years of related work experience required. Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent form of two-years of college or technical school desired.P

hysical Requirements R

equires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires occasional lifting to 50 lbs. Requires expose to machines, chemicals, and solvents. Requires hand dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to operate simple to complex machinery. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. W

orking ConditionsW

ill be required to work within the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.]]><
