Lead Contact Center Engineer (Baltimore, MD; Evansville, IN; Charlotte, NC; Irving, TX)

Optomi, in partnership with a large finance company, is looking for an experienced Lead Contact Center Engineer to lead the expansion of their telephony team. The company is planning a large migration of their telephony platform to a cloud-based solution. They are looking for a go-getter who takes initiative and is able to work under minimal supervision! The right candidate will have experience with Avaya or Alvaria, and will have been a big part of a migration from on prem to cloud with either NiceCX or Five9.

Qualifications of the right candidate:

• 9-10+ years of overall relevant experience in telecommunications or telephony.
• Experience developing or implementing Interactive Voice Responses.
• Avaya/Alvaria experience.
• NiceCX or Five9 experience.
• Experience migrating on prem to cloud to either of those cloud solutions.
• Efficiency in Java, Python, or another programming language.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Proof of concepts for a cloud-based solution.
• Lead the call recording migration from on prem to cloud.
• Integration of the cloud based solution into the company's existing system.
• Take initiative to lead a team of 6-7 resources working on 2 different platforms.
