Your new company

Join a 20+ year established commercial general contractor based in Alexandria County, VA that specializes in a wide range of construction projects, including high-end office build-outs, retail, healthcare renovations, and secure space construction for government and defense clients. They complete over 100 fast-track projects annually, with more than 70% of their work coming from repeat clients.

Looking to meet Assistant Project Managers that have started to or on the cusp of running their own projects, and seeking professional growth into a well-rounded Project Manager role. Open to professionals from a subcontractor or general contractor background with 2-3 years of construction industry experience.

Your new role

• Position will report into an experienced Project Manager who will provide excellent mentorship with the aim of developing your skill set into a well-rounded Project Manager and be able to run your own work as time permits.
• Management in all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
• Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers and communicate with clients.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements for this position:

• Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager with 2-4 years of commercial construction experience, ideally in interior construction.
• Degree in a Construction related discipline however is preferred, not required.
• US Citizen - requirement for the clients they represent, no visa transfer or sponsorship is available for this position.
• Local to the DC area or are moving to the area and can be present in their Alexandria County office 5 days a week.
