Starting hourly rate range : $24.50 - 27.75 Per hour Please note that hourly rates for this position are based on type of degree and expected date of graduation. With a 93% satisfaction rating, CN's internship program successfully develops the leaders of tomorrow! **Intern, Environment** This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11, 2026, until August 28, 2026. **Job Summary** The Intern, Environmental is responsible for designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to meet the needs of business stakeholders. Key tasks include gathering business requirements for data visualization, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to acquire and clean data, and creating complex Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) calculations to support in-depth analysis. Furthermore, the intern ensures data security and compliance, troubleshoots issues in reports, and provides training and support to end users on Power BI functionalities. **Major Responsibilities** · Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders' needs · Gather and understand business requirements for data visualization and analysis · Collaborate with data SMEs to acquire clean and transform data for reporting purposes · Create complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis · Ensure data security and compliance with best practices · Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power BI reports · Provide training and support to end users on using Power BI **Requirements** · Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation · Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts · Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) for data manipulation and extraction · Knowledge of DAX for creating calculations · Familiarity with data warehouse concepts · Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills · Excellent communication and collaboration skills · Ability to work independently and as a part of a team · Adaptability to changing business requirements · Strong interpersonal and communications skills · Some travel may be required **Education** · A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or relevant fields *Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset **About CN** CN is a premium railroad that sustainably generates value for our customers, shareholders, employees, and stakeholders with an unwavering commitment to safety and service.
