Job Description

The ideal candidate would be organized, have strong computer skills, broad technology understanding, solid critical thinking skills and be an excellent written and oral communicator. This person should be able to master multiple consoles that provide services to Fremont County Government employees and the citizens of Fremont County. The person should be a resourceful problem solver, self-starter and an autonomous worker.

This position is not a hands-on technician position, but the person needs to have an understanding of the basic processes and techniques that are used by technicians, along with the ability to guide users through steps to isolate or further define a problem.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Management of content on the county website for the county
• Maintaining entries in the Lynx alerting system

Interacting with and improving the functionality of the TextMyGov system

Administering the KnowBe4 employee security training system

• Creating and removing users from FCG Active Directory and email systems

• Initiating a response to problem reports, which could include some preliminary troubleshooting and/or workaround recommendations
• Organizing and maintaining parts and equipment inventories
• Administering keyless entry andfacilities surveillance systems
• Monitor networks, servers, backups and security systems for issues and reporting them
• Researching, recommending and ordering technologies for Fremont County
• Overseeing copiers, printers, toner and consumables, and coordinating all aspects to ensure continued functionality
• Assist with budget and voucher processes
• Communicate with various county entities, vendors and contractors
• Support Elections and events, with travel and assistance as needed
• Assist with video conferencing hardware and software, such as Zoom and Teams
• Assist with technology project administration, including identification, prioritization, budget and resource allocation, and oversight
• Assist with documentation, development of standard operating procedures, labeling, etc.
