High-quality care that has been recognized by the Joint Commission, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association. **The role you'll contribute:** The Health Unit Coordinator under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, performs general non-clinical duties and specific services necessary to expedite the efficient functioning of the nursing unit consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures in the nursing department and hospital administration.Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. **The value you'll bring to the team:** Accesses the medication room to place meds in a secure area upon medication arrival to the floor. Performs indirect patient care duties related to admission, transfer and discharge. Posts pertinent patient data timely. Responds appropriately in emergency situations Interacts with patients appropriate to age, acuity and culture. Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:** Completion of Health Unit Coordinator Course OR recent hospital experience or similar experience as a Health Unit Coordinator; such as medical office or outpatient clinic. OR degrees or certification in: Biomedical Science, Health Education, Healthcare Administration, Integrated Health Science, Psychology, Sociology, Completed 1st clinical semester of nursing program, Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
