The Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) located in Warrendale, Pa., seeks a creative, detail-oriented graphic designer to help us advance the steelmaking industry through a variety of projects. Our ideal candidate is an ambitious, hard-working person who exhibits a positive attitude and enjoys working in a team-based environment.
AIST is a non-profit, member-based entity recognized as a global leader in networking, education, and sustainability programs for advancing iron and steel technology and is the world’s largest steel network. The Graphic Designer responsibilities include:
· Collaborate with marketing team to create concepts and themes for visual messaging, designs, and icons for internal and external projects, including digital, web, print and video.
· Generate new designs and ideas while maintaining established AIST brand standards to ensure consistent messaging across a variety of channels.
· Demonstrate excellent workflow time-management to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects.
· Communicate ideas clearly and effectively to co-workers, customers, and leadership.
· Contribute to other association projects as needed, including on-site support at our annual conference. (Travel is less than 5%)
Digital collateral includes event announcements, infographics, charts, banner ads, landing pages, presentation materials, icons and typography for email, web, social media, and videos. Print projects involve conference and event brochures, large- and small-scale signage, including booth design, magazine ads, communication materials, content layout, and additional materials for our monthly journal, Iron & Steel Technology .
A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design is required, along with at least three years’ work experience. Candidate should have an online portfolio with design examples and be well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite. Candidates that have familiarity with video production, web design, and photography are strongly encouraged to apply.
