Position Summary:

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including strategic planning, financial management, customer service, and team leadership. This role requires a strong understanding of the oil industry, heating systems, and regulatory compliance, as well as proven leadership and business development skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Manage daily operations including service delivery, scheduling, inventory, and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee maintenance and installation of oil heating systems.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor profitability and implement cost-control measures.
• Approve purchases and manage vendor relationships.

Team Management

• Hire, train, and supervise staff including technicians, customer service reps, and administrative personnel.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.

Customer Relations

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints.
• Develop strategies to grow the customer base and improve retention.

Strategic Planning

• Identify growth opportunities and develop business strategies.
• Monitor market trends and adjust operations accordingly.
• Collaborate with ownership on long-term goals and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in management within the heating industry, with oil and propane
• Strong knowledge of propane systems and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and propane certifications a plus.
