Job Description

The FP&A Analyst is a position that combines the analytical responsibilities of both sales performance tracking and financial planning & analysis. This role is critical for informing business strategy and operational efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance Analysis: Gather and analyze sales data to assess performance against targets, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement. Prepare reports that provide insights into customer behavior, market dynamics, and product performance
  • Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Support the development and maintenance of financial models to project future sales, revenue, and overall financial performance. Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts that align with sales insights
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual sales and financial results against forecasts and budgets, identifying the reasons behind discrepancies and proposing actionable strategies for corrective measures
  • Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with the sales team to understand market conditions and customer needs, while also collaborating with the FP&A Director and FP&A team to ensure alignment between sales objectives and financial goals
  • Reporting and Insights: Produce regular financial and sales reports for leadership, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that support strategic decision-making. Provide insights to guide resource allocation and strategic initiatives
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analyses to address specific business questions or to support strategic projects, integrating both sales and financial data to provide a comprehensive view of performance

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field

• Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and financial modeling

• Experience in sales analysis, financial planning, or related fields, preferably within a manufacturing context

• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data in a clear and actionable manner
