Job Description

We are looking for a direct hire full-time Manufacturing Field Service Technician or FSE Engineer with specializing in subject matter expertise in the CNC Machinery Industry out in the field dealing with customers, fixing equipment, solving problems and troubleshooting Please see attached job description.

  • Significant working experience and achievements in the CNC Machinery Industry in a capacity that offers technical support to clients, other technicians, and has the skills and experience to finish projects from beginning to end in field service environment. This is a Traveling Role -up to 75-85 percent during peak times. Other times will be spent on Service Calls, Training at Corporate Location in Indianapolis, or providing Technical Support
  • Senior Candidates can be near a major airport instead of Indianapolis but will have to travel extra for training

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Pre-installation review: before shipping a new machine, review installation recommendations and processes with the customer.
  • Machine Installation: oversee the assembly of machines at the customer’s facility.
  • Inspection and demonstration: inspect, adjust, and start up newly installed machines. Make recommendations as needed to ensure proper specification compliance. Demonstrate safe setup, operation, and maintenance protocols.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Provide warranty and non-warranty service including problem identification, maintenance, repair services, and training as required. Recommend parts, accessories, and labor to maintain equipment safety and to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Customer Service Management: Regularly visit assigned customers to observe machine operation, identify service needs, and suggest appropriate accessories, parts, or services to meet customer requirements.
  • Distributor support: Develop and nurture relationships with local Company Machine Tool Distributors, providing them with technical support and collaborating with them to deliver exceptional service to customers.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Follow established procedures to complete service reports, inspection reports, time reports, and expense reports accurately and within specified time frames.
  • Technical Support: Provide remote technical support to distributors, customers, and other field service engineers via phone and email from our Indianapolis office.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical school or equivalent work experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial automation equipment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Process oriented, able to complete necessary travel and expense reports.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Strong Benefit Package with Salary Range at 75-85K plus overtime, service vehicle and other benefits.
