General Foreman – Utility Scale Solar/BESS

Location: Arizona

Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Superintendent / Project Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced General Foreman with a strong background in electrical and civil scopes related to utility-scale renewable energy projects. This individual will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safe, high-quality, on-time execution of work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise multiple crews, subcontractors, and electrical foremen.
• Interpret and execute project drawings, one-line diagrams, IFC sets, specs, and P6 schedules.
• Support daily/weekly planning, 3-week look-ahead scheduling, and material/equipment procurement as needed.
• Oversee electrical work including MV/LV distribution, switchgear, grounding, batteries, transformers, conduit, cable trays, and BESS systems.
• Collaborate on commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Track daily logs, material usage, and project progress with support from the Material Manager.
• Ensure civil work such as trenching, excavation, and BESS pad construction is integrated into overall project scope.
• Develop, train, and manage field teams; involved in hiring/firing decisions.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of electrical or renewable EPC experience, including prior roles as a General Foreman.
• Strong knowledge of utility-scale solar, substations, and/or energy storage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and schedules.
• OSHA 30 certification (required); First Aid/CPR, NFPA 70E, and LOTO training preferred (can be provided by company).
• Preferred: Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• Strong leadership, communication, and field coordination skills.

Electrical Foreman – Utility Scale Solar/BESS

Overview:

We’re hiring a skilled Electrical Foreman to lead crews on high-voltage and utility-scale solar/BESS installations. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in electrical systems and a strong command of field team management and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Directly manage a crew of laborers and electricians, ensuring safety and schedule compliance.
• Execute work per Superintendent instructions and align with daily/weekly goals.
• Track and report progress through daily logs and field reporting.
• Inspect installations for compliance with drawings, electrical codes, and project specs.
• Perform/lead AC terminations, conduit installation, cable pulling, and related tasks.
• Lead toolbox talks, conduct hazard assessments, and enforce site safety (PPE, LOTO, arc flash).
• Operate basic site equipment and ensure proper tool/equipment use on site.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman on utility-scale solar, BESS, or high/medium voltage projects.
• Ability to read and understand one-lines, wiring schematics, and site plans.
• OSHA 30 (required).
• Preferred: Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Skilled in electrical installation best practices and field safety leadership.
