Job Description

We are looking for a leading provider of high-quality furniture rental solutions in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver/ Furniture Installer . The job is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and some occasional Saturdays. Most of the Overtime will be done through the weekday. CDL not necessary just clean driving record. Looking for hard working individual with flexibility not afraid to make money.

Responsibilities

• Deliver furniture and houseware items throughout the Company’s delivery area
• Follow route and time schedule
• Contact clients for hour call ahead procedure for delivery and pick up
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Keep trucks and vans clean of all miscellaneous trash
• Responsible for whereabouts and condition of all assigned company tools
• Housewares and furniture to be unloaded and dropped off in designated location on same day as pickup.
• All items to be carefully packed to ensure quality control during transport.
• Complete all required logs
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• All delivery paperwork to be completed and turned in no later than next business day from delivery / pick up. Reports that need filled out by drivers include: Inspection checklists, work orders, expense reports and client acknowledgement forms.
• Photos of furniture and housewares to be turned in no later than next business day from delivery
• Help maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse
• Cleaning of hard goods and soft goods when not out on delivery/pick up

Requirements

• Previous experience in furniture delivery and installation is preferred but not required.
• Valid professional driver’s license
• Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• High school degree
• Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture items ( up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks
• Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours when needed.
