Duration: 03 months contract

Position Summary

The Credentialing Coordinator makes sure that doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers have the proper licenses, certifications, and approvals needed to work with health insurance plans. They work closely with different departments like Recruiting, Education, and Operations and report to the Credentialing Manager.

(Job Duties)

• Check applications: Review applications from healthcare providers (new and renewing) to make sure all the required documents are there, correct, and meet government and company rules.
• Verify information: Contact schools, licensing boards, and other official sources to confirm providers’ education, licenses, and work history.
• Fix issues: Spot problems like missing information, work gaps, or mismatched details and work with the manager to resolve them.
• Maintain records: Keep provider files complete, accurate, and up to date in the company’s credentialing system.
• Track progress: Send out and follow up on verification requests to process applications quickly and meet deadlines.
• Communicate: Work with providers, coworkers, and clients to answer questions and solve credentialing issues.
• Stay updated: Learn new rules and changes in the healthcare industry to keep processes compliant.
• Help with projects: Support special tasks or projects when needed.

Requirement (Qualifications)

• Previous experience in a credentialing role (reviewing/approving provider documents).
• Certification as a Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred or be willing/able to get certified within 2 years.
• CAQH experience (a system providers use to store credentialing information) is a plus.
• MD Staff experience (a credentialing software) is a plus.
• Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) experience is a plus.
