GreatLaw, a small but mighty Houston-area law firm that takes pride in its work-life balance, is seeking to add lawyers to join our corporate team. We have openings for lawyers with 2 to 10 years of prior experience.

GreatLaw only requires about 120 billable hours per month (on average; some months will be much higher and some lower), with pay that is commensurate to this reduced scale.

Salary +/- $165,000 depending on qualifications, plus discretionary bonuses depending on performance and paid health care.

Our ideal candidate:

• Is a practical and personable advisor of clients
• Is extremely well organized
• Can balance our sometimes chaotic sense of fun and humor with the need to get things done when it's time for the rubber to hit the road
• Values a work-life balance, without the hefty billing requirements of BigLaw
• Has some portable business to bring with them (not a necessity)
• Has prior securities law experience (not a necessity)

Requirements (please only apply if these are met):

• A minimum of 2 years of transactional law experience is STRICTLY required
• Must be located in Houston, TX (or one of its 7,000 suburbs)
