The SidexSide program is currently seeking candidates for a Career Navigator position. Career Navigators play a critical role in ensuring tailored program outcomes for each participant. You will be responsible for providing individualized career counseling, guidance, and support to participants, helping them achieve their employment and career development goals. This

role involves assessing participants' needs, connecting them with relevant resources, and providing ongoing support to ensure successful career progression. Career Navigators will need to communicate effectively, uphold boundaries, hold individuals accountable for their decisions, and independently initiate and complete projects related to career navigation. These skills are

vital to maintaining productive relationships, ensuring commitment to career plans, and offering reliable, proactive support throughout participants' career journeys.

You will need to be:

• Able to quickly make human-centered decisions.

• Able to communicate effectively with participants, team members, and partners across various aspects of the work.

• A self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction. Passionate about listening to and learning from traditionally

overlooked voices.

• Excited about serving and championing people with a keen attention to detail.

• Experienced in guiding and supporting participants in their career development journey.

• A people person who also deeply values (and desires to engage in) processes.

• Comfortable creating strategic systems and processes to support the daily needs of participants and SidexSide.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that demands exceptional attention to detail and work ethic.

• Skilled at listening intently for any warning signs of potential issues or conflicts, with the ability to proactively address

challenges or resolve conflicts before they escalate.

What you will do:

• Assess participants' skills, interests, values, and career goals to help them develop personalized career plans through

one-on-one/group coaching and training.

• Connect participants with the necessary resources and opportunities to achieve their career goals.

• Assist participants in developing the skills needed to succeed in their chosen career paths.

• Offer ongoing guidance and motivation to participants, helping them overcome obstacles and maintain drive

throughout their career journey.

• Advocate for participants, ensuring they can access fair opportunities and necessary accommodations.

• Assist participants with job placement by identifying suitable job openings, aiding with applications, and preparing

clients for interviews.

• Regularly check in with participants to monitor progress, reassess goals, and adjust career plans as needed.

• Help manage employer partnerships and support participants throughout the placement process.

• Help manage day-to-day placement processes and communicate the necessary steps for placements to participants.

Bonus Points if you:

• Have previous experience as a Career Navigator.

• Have resources that can aid in the holistic development of participants.

Salary: $45,000 - $52,000 annually, commensurate with previous direct experience.
