Salary Range: $61,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Zeeland that are seeking Buyers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Source and evaluate new suppliers to ensure a reliable and diverse supply chain.
• Generate and place purchase orders for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and prevent production delays.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to optimize inventory levels.
• Resolve issues related to supplier performance, material quality, and delivery discrepancies.
• Conduct market research to identify new products, suppliers, and cost reduction opportunities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management.

Bonus Qualifications

• Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
• Experience with advanced features of ERP systems like SAP MM or Oracle Procurement.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to international suppliers.
