Billing Specialist, Bryn Mawr, PA (Onsite), $60,000–$70,000 - Full-Time

Billing Specialist – Responsibilities

  • Manage and process claims for Medicare, insurance, and private pay accounts.
  • Handle coinsurance billing for Medicare A & B.
  • Perform account analysis and resolve billing discrepancies, claim rejections, and denials.
  • Communicate with insurance providers and residents to address any billing issues.
  • Ensure timely reimbursements for Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Independent Living units.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and ensure correct room rates in the billing system.
  • Prepare and send out resident invoices and billing documents.
  • Oversee accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and minimize aging balances.
  • Work closely with the clinical team during the Medicare triple check process.
  • Assist with finance committee meetings and other accounting duties as needed.

Billing Specialist – Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical billing, specifically in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of Medicare regulations and billing processes.
  • Proficiency in billing software, such as MatrixCare, PointClickCare, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of insurance billing, private pay accounts, and related reimbursement processes.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (ICD10, CPT, HCPC coding).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in billing and coding.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
